Golf competition at Hulencourt

A charity golf competition has been organised by Missing Children Europe every year since 2006 on the most famous golf courses of Belgium: Ostend in 2006 and 2007, Kapellen in 2008 and 2009, Waterloo in 2010, Latem in 2011. The next competition will take place on Friday 20 April 2012 at the Hulencourt Golf Club. It will be followed by the traditional award ceremony and a dinner served in the Clubhouse.

Dinner in the club-house

Allocation of Tee-times : the latest slots are allocated to the players who have registered and paid the fees first. If you wish to start early, please send an email to golf@missingchildreneurope.eu

Canadian greensome : teams of two players; each player drives and plays his second shot with his own ball, then the team chooses the best ball and finishes the hole playing alternate shots with this ball.

Putting Competition opened to all participants.

Dress code

On the course: correct golfing attire should be worn. Recognised golf shoes, golf shirts with collar. Tailored shorts are acceptable.

Award ceremony and dinner: jacket and tie.

Auction : One week in Marbella

During the dinner, a live auction will give the guests the opportunity to acquire a one week stay for 14 people in a splendid house located in a private estate close to numerous golf courses near Marbella.

Just think of the friends you could invite to a magic mix of golf, beach, tourism and relaxation. Prepare your bids, it is worth participating.

If you do not attend the dinner, just leave your bid and details to golf@missingchildreneurope.eu (before 18 April) or to the welcome desk in Hulencourt on 20 April (before 7pm). We shall inform you if you win the prize.

Estate : Finca del Pantano www.villapantano.com

Location : very calm setting on the shores of a fresh water lake, 1 Km from the village of Cancelada, less than 3 km from the sea-side between San Pedro de Alcantara (Marbella) and Estepona, with a view of Villa Padierna Hotel and Los Flamingos Golf Club. 75 km from Malaga airport.

House : Spanish style "Finca" house (525m2) with a large central patio and terraces with a fountain within a very large garden.

Northern aisle : 2 twin bedded rooms (2 beds), 1 double bedroom (double bed), 3 bathrooms with shower and 3 wcs, 1 guest cloakroom, a very large living room with open fire: arm chairs for at least 20 people, chairs, tables and stools.

Southern aisle : 4 twin bedded rooms (2 beds), 3 bathrooms with shower and 3 wcs, a small sitting room with wood fire.

Kitchen : separate fully equipped kitchen. Plates and dishes for 24 persons.

Views : overlooking the large garden and lake with views of the mountains, the Los Flamingos Golf Course, and the sea.

Parking : large exterior parking area and 2 cars locked garage.

Garden : private plot of 2 hectares with fruit trees, automatic irrigation system. The garden is large enough to practice golf, includes a swimming pool (heated upon demand 25€/day), barbecue, table tennis and access to the lake for non-motorised water sports.

Terraces : 3 covered terraces, one with a barbecue, and two non-covered terraces overlooking the lake – Golf Course/swimming pool and the garden.

Cleaning Lady : minimum twice 4 hours (10€/h).

Household linens : available from the cleaning lady except beach and swimming pool towels.

The house is to be normally kept up, and left in an orderly state upon departure. Any unreasonable cleaning shall be charged.

Availability : May, June, September, October, November 2012 or Spring 2013, to be agreed with the owner. From Saturday to Saturday, flexible if the previous or following weeks are free.

Swimming pool : the outdoor swimming pool is not protected for young children and has no alarm ; it may be heated upon demand (25€/day)

Non smoker : the guests are kindly asked not to smoke in the house and to refrain from leaving cigarettes' butts in the garden.

Golf : the house guests have no priority or special privileges to make reservations for tee times or for the payment of green-fees. However it is easy to reserve tee times directly with the golf clubs or via a specialized organization that will be recommended by the owner.

How is the money raised used ?

Child alert systems

Child Alert systems aim to immediately involve the public at large in the search for abducted children whose lives may be at risk, by using a wide range of communication tools: radio, TV, road traffic signs, etc…

The funds raised thanks to the golf competition will enable MCE to support its members for the implementation of child alert systems in countries where they do not yet exist and to improve their coordination.
